MIDI-file Format Converter
Most of our files come as Format 0 = all events in one track. Should you rather want the file split up into it's individual instruments you can use this converter. Likewise if you have a format 1 file but rather want it in format 0 so your keyboard can read it from disk you can likewise use this utility. It leaves any lyric information in place and can also save MIDI-files in the popular .KAR format Limitation is that the file name can have no more than 8 letters - so you may have to rename the file if you are using long file names.

Music Converter
The music converter can be used to do conversions, which are sometimes needed by a musician. For example, some delay units display the delay in seconds or milliseconds, but your sequencer uses BPM (Beats Per Minute). In order to get delay in sync with your sequencer you sometimes might need to do that conversion back and forth. Music Converter converts MIDI keys to frequencies and note numbers, scales knob values, calculates tuning frequencies, converts loop/delay time to BPM (and vice versa) and calculates the size of samples given sample frequencies, time, mono/stereo and bit depth. It's not rocket science, but when you're working with your latest song, you don't want to sit down and think about math formulas, but rather get the job done. Then this little utility will do the job.

MID2XM
MID2XM is a MS-Windows program that, as the title suggests, converts MIDI files into XM digital music modules (FastTracker 2 modules).

AmazingMIDI
WAV to MIDI converter for music transcription AmazingMIDI automatically transcribes music, converting WAV files into MIDI files. It can recognize single-instrument polyphonic music. It's a powerful tool to help you to transcribe music, to practice musical instruments and to make MIDI files, and so on.
AmazingMIDI creates an Output File (.mid) from an Input File (.wav) that contains musical data, and a Tone File (.wav) that consists of monotone data. AmazingMIDI analyzes the Input File, assuming that every sound in the file is played with the same tone color as the one in the Tone File. As a result, even if the music contains several different instruments, AmazingMIDI writes down all detected notes as a single-instrument music.
The quality of music recognition depends on the tone color of the music. AmazingMIDI is suitable for analyzing the precise-frequency attenuating sounds like piano or guitar. The drum sound becomes only noise.
Currently, automatic music transcription has no substantial solution in general, but with some restrictions of the domain, it can be both possible and useful. AmazingMIDI is one of these systems, and is still in its infancy. However, again, it's a powerful chord analyzer.

- GN1:0: Converts binary midi file format from 1 to 0, including a simple MIDI Karaoke player. Presents information about GNMIDI facilities.
MIDI DOS commandline utilities
- midi2txt: Converts binary midi file into text midi file.
- txt2midi: Compiles text file into binary midi file.
- midi2gm: modifies midi file to make it more compatible for GM compatible keyboards
- midifix: Correcting bad structured midi files
- midi2to0: Converts format 2 midi file into several midi format 0 files.
- midi1to0: Converts format 1 midi file into format 0 midi file
